What is fine art school portrait photography?

I aim to provide a personalized, boutique experience to the families attending the schools that I photograph. My service is unique and professional. The portraits I take are timeless and will be ones that families will want to put on the walls of their homes. Unlike large, corporate photography companies, I choose to only take on a small amount of select schools to ensure that I can provide superior customer service and artistic images.

I don't force a smile but my goal is to capture authentic images of the children that I photograph. There are no awkward poses or faces or unflattering, busy backgrounds. As a result, the portraits are genuine and show the essence of the child. I provide an enjoyable experience for your children and am proud to provide an experience where the kids can feel like they can relax and be themselves.

Fine Art School Portraits are great for preschools, charter schools, daycares, private schools and home school groups in the Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, and surrounding areas of Northern California.

What services do you offer?

I operate completely online from start to finish. A detailed PDF describing the ordering process and shooting day preparation will be provided to each school to distribute to families prior to photo day. Not only will I take pictures of each child, but I take class photos and staff photos as well.

After photo day, families are given a link to a password-protected online ordering gallery. Galleries are organized by grade, homeroom, teacher, or whatever grouping works best for the school. Each child will be provided with 2-5 images, both in color and black and white. The family can chose the photo(s) they want printed, as opposed to having the photo chosen for them. Not only can they purchase prints and digital files to download, but they are given the option to order boutique products, such as canvas gallery wraps. I handle any questions from parents and families about ordering and products.

Prints are ordered online and delivered directy to the school to be distributed. I provide the school with all high resolution digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, school ID's, or however the school wishes to use the images.

I provide all equipment and personnel needed for photo day.

I am willing to work with schools to provide custom services that fit your unique needs and can accomodate schools with 30-150 students.

Are these images expensive?

My rates are competitive and nothing is due up front. All profit is made from ordering. I offer a range of collections and a-la-carte products, allowing everyone's needs to be met.

What time of year do you conduct these photo shoots?

I work with each individual school to schedule shoots any time during the academic year.
