Roseville Lifestyle Photographer | An Afternoon Well Spent

“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. “

-Helen Keller

I was absolutely thrilled when this mama, now friend, contacted me again for another summer home photo session at her sister’s house. She travels with her darling son each summer from the east coast to visit her sister and just spend time together. She has taught me much over the past couple of times of seeing her: how to slow down, how to make each moment a teachable one, and how to give love freely. I wish she lived closer because I totally feel like we would be good friends, but I am so grateful that we have become friends this way! It is so fulfilling to take something that you call your job and find dear people who enrich your life through it. Her son is absolutely charming and incredibly inquisitive. He wants to know how everything works and is not satisfied with a mediocre explanation. He is such a lucky kid to have a mama and family who will support that thirst. Her sister’s house and property is magical. It is filled with horses, chickens, lizards, backhoes, a creek, and all kind of other things, in addition to what I have never even seen (but will hopefully get to experience in years to come!). These memories they create are priceless and these photos will only increase in value as time goes on. I pinch myself that I get to document such beautiful and fleeting, but important moments for families. It brings so much joy!
