Roseville Family Lifestyle Photographer | Fall Mini Sessions

“Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Time, effort, and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing.”

– Jim Rohn

I had so much fun doing mini sessions this year. It was my first time doing it and it won’t be my last! I loved getting to know families and making sure they got some good quality pictures. You might be asking yourself what a mini session is and why would someone book one? Well, a mini session is a shortened version of a full session, just 20 minutes long. You get fewer pictures than a full session and it costs less. They are only offered once or twice a year with me and there are limited spaces. This is a great option if you just need a quick picture for those Christmas cards, if you already had a full session during the year and want a small update, if you feel like your family won’t do well with picture taking past 20 minutes, or if you have a tight budget. Mini sessions aren’t for everyone, and that is okay—they are more challenging with larger families since it just takes a little bit more time to get everyone together and separate portraits, don’t work with extended families, and aren’t milestone sessions. If you want more of an experience and want more pictures with connections and emotions, would like a larger gallery to choose from, a full session would probably be better for you.

Anyway, we had a great time together and I loved getting a quick glimpse of each family and how they interact with each other. The love they each showed was so beautiful and it is easy to see how much joy there is with each one. Sometimes I just can’t believe that I get to do this—it is such an honor to be trusted to document each family and their connections with one another.
