"I think togetherness is a very important ingredient to family life.”
I love and adore watching families grow up. I hadn't seen this family in about 5 years and they have changed and grown in so many wonderful and beautiful ways. They have been some of my favorite people since I have known them and my time with them only confirmed that. The oldest was heading to college just a few days after our session, so these pictures were so important to capture when they were together for one last time for a while. I wanted to not only capture them being together, but also their relationships and connections with each other. I was honored to photograph them at this time in their lives. We sure lucked out, too, because there was so rain in the days leading up to this day and rain after. It ended up being a beautiful evening in one of my favorite spots in Roseville.
I ended up having such a fun time with them. I am not joking when I say that I don't think we stopped laughing the whole time. It was easy to see that they enjoy their time together, that they truly love each other and have respect for one another. The whole time felt so comfortable and fun and I just kind of wanted to go home with them and hang out some more. It was one of those sessions where I came home and felt motivated to be better and to love more....and that is such a gift that they gave to me.
