Looking Down | Rocklin Family Photographer
It has been raining what seems like non stop here in Roseville (and just in California in general) these past few months. The rain has been prayed for and needed for years and I am so incredibly grateful that we have had so much. I admit that I get a little giddy when it rains because we have hoped for it for so long.
That being said, it is nice to have some breaks in the rain to get out of the house and play and do something besides jump in puddles when we venture out. I had been wanting to check out a spot in Rocklin that I had heard about and so my family and I headed out one evening. There were a few sprinkles, but that didn't stop us. The clouds were spectacular and I definitely think I could have spent more time there.
I fell in love with the view and just look at all that green! Little groups of wildflowers were blooming and the boulders were just too good to leave alone. They needed to be climbed on. The flowers needed to be breathed in. The hills needed some kids to run on them. I don't know about you, but fresh air and exploring do me (and my kiddos) so much good. It helps me reset and gives me a renewed sense of gratitude for this beautiful world that we live on.
After a rainy winter, I am so excited to watch spring unfold and bloom.
